About Letty
I founded True Self Psychotherapy out of a deep belief that meaningful change happens in the context of a genuine relationship. Again and again, I have witnessed how powerful it can be when someone feels truly understood. Not analyzed or rushed, but met with curiosity and care.
In our work together, you can expect me to be thoughtful, engaged, and deeply attentive. I listen closely not only to what you say, but also to what feels harder to articulate. I am interested in the patterns that shape your life, how they formed, how they have protected you, and whether they still serve you now. At times, I may gently challenge you. At other times, we may slow down and sit with something that feels vulnerable or unfamiliar. My goal is to create a space where all parts of you are welcome.
Many of the people I work with are insightful and capable. They often appear fine on the outside, yet internally struggle with self-criticism, relational tension, or a quiet sense that something is not fully aligned. Some have tried shorter-term or skills-based therapy and found it helpful but incomplete. They are looking for a deeper understanding of themselves and more lasting change.
My approach is relational and psychodynamic. I believe that the more fully you understand yourself, including your history, your defenses, and your longings, the more freedom you have to live intentionally.
I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Denver in 2019. In 2024, I completed the two-year Adult Psychodynamic Training Program at the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis, which deepened my commitment to long-term, insight-oriented work.
